Painful Luxuries: Stop Single-Use Plastic
I was traveling from shanghai Pudong airport to the London Heathrow on Virgin Atlantic airline in the economy class in August 2019. As expected, the staff was hospitable and welcoming. I ordered Mulsim meal while booking the ticket so the air hostess always used to serve me first before the other passengers. With every meal, there was something to drink like juice, plain water. The cutlery was always new with a spoon, fork, glass, and the meal box. The glass which I drink was only used for once and was dumped in the flexible basked in front of the seat which couldn't hold enough things so I used to pinch the glass to dumb in the basket. It was a kind of privilege to be treated like this. Further, when I stayed in a hotel in London where every day the staff provided me with new disposable plastic utensils.
